25 Days of Christmas Day 1: Win a Slinky

December 1, 2016

I often think back to the toys that were around when I was a young child – it makes me feel old, but my childhood memories come flooding back. There was lots of playing with other kids, being outside, and I remember my toys because I didn’t have mountains of them like kids do these days. The ones I had were precious and loved. One of my earliest memories is playing on a set of stairs with my sisters Slinky.

Slinky is the original walking toy that has delighted generations! It was invented by Richard James in the early 1940’s and has been played with by not only kids since but adults as well. Watch it flip itself down a set of stairs, roll it between your hands – it provides unlimited entertainment.

The best part about a Slinky is the price – the Original Metal Slinky retails for $9.95 and selected Slinky styles are available at Australian Geographic, Big W, Coles, MYER, Toys “R” Us, and all good toy retailers. It makes a perfect stocking stuffer – have a few in the cupboard for those “I forgot to get you a gift” moments or to entertain a bored child.

Every child (and adult) should own a Slinky, and I am giving one away today in day 1 of 25 Days of Mum To Five Giveaways.
