When I was little, mum was a stay at home parent who worked part time, and dad worked full time. It was a good childhood, two sisters who I fought with as all sisters do (and who are now my best friends in the world – love you both more than I can put into words) We weren’t rich, we weren’t poor. We did well. At Christmas time I remember getting a few presents – always something I had asked for and a few other things.
When I had my first child I became a single parent before his first Christmas. I went back to work when he was 4 months old and saved all year, buying him gifts. That first Christmas he had more presents under the tree than I had ever seen before. Totally pointless now I look back on it, he preferred the boxes and paper.
But the love of Christmas was born then and there.
Every year since I have spoilt the kids rotten. Presents galore, more than they can poke a stick at. Kmart wishing tree gifts, Salvation Army food drives, lunch on Xmas Day. Gifts lovingly picked for my family and nephews and niece. Nothing excites me more than the lead up to Christmas and the day itself.
I love giving gifts which is why I love doing giveaways on this blog. And which is why I have spent weeks planning the following.
Starting Monday 30 November, I am doing a 25 Days of Christmas. Monday is a Christmas Eve Giveaway. Then from Tuesday it is a giveaway a day right up until Christmas Day. I have contacted all the businesses participating myself individually, and they are all things I love. Some small, some bigger. Lots of single giveaways and a few multiples.
Every one of them is something I would buy myself. Each one will run for 24 hours, and winners are randomly drawn and advised on the Facebook Post.
If you don’t like one of the days, enter and win it for someone else! Nothing better than giving!
I dont do waiting well, so once the Facebook likes on this post reach a certain number I will put up another giveaway – and one tomorrow. A pre-pre and a pre giveaway! No I am not telling you how many likes it will take to activate it – where is the fun in that?
I am almost jumping out of my skin with excitement!
Hoping you will all enter, hopefully have a win and most of all have fun xxx
And thank you for being here
