Little Crate – Review + Giveaway

October 11, 2015

It was Little Crate time in our house again this week, and the kids were all excited to see what craft activities were inside.¬†This is the third Little Crate we have been lucky enough to receive to review, for those new to the blog Little Crate was created by two mothers – a box of craft with not only every material your little ones will need to complete the activities, but step by step pictured instructions on how to complete each one. If you are like me and not a creative person, craft time can be an overwhelming experience and often thrown into the “too hard” basket. You can find ideas, sure. But do you have all the necessary items on hand to complete them? Little Crate does the thinking for you. It makes craft time easy, creative, fun and eliminates the stress. Everything from paints, a brush, paper items, glue and scissors to name a few is included. If you need it it’s there.

This month’s crate was all about the garden. Task 1 Miss 8, Miss 7 and Master 3 all had a great time painting their pots. Once dry they were given a soil pellet which when water was added to it filled their pot with soil they then planted some seeds into. We are now anxiously checking to see daily if our pots have sprouted (any day now!)

Task 2 was making a pinwheel for the garden. The pre-cut card piece was painted into a masterpiece by Miss 8, the turned step by step into her pinwheel she has planted in our pot plant at the front door for all to see. Also included this month was materials to make plant labels with cardboard and paddle pop sticks so you can remember what you have planted, and google eyes to search for a rock in the garden and paint it to make your own pet rock. Master 3 has claimed the eyes and is still finding the right rock – when you’re 3 it can take some time!

Another winning craft afternoon courtesy of Little Crate – again the kids had a ball and this one involved them all which is always a winner.
