All my babies deemed sleep was for the weak in our house, and I was grateful that using Love To Dream products meant I never had to worry about them being too hot or too cold – the right Love To Dream for the right season meant that was covered. One of the hardest things for me was transitioning them from arms contained to a sleeping bag with their arms out. I remember working myself into a frenzy at the thought of making that change with all of them. Of course it was never as bad as I thought it would be, but it would have been a lot better had I used the Swaddle Up 50/50. Why did I not discover these?
Once your baby starts to roll it is time to stop swaddling them. Rolling age differs between babies, but it is generally somewhere around the four month mark. Love To Dream have created the 50/50 Swaddle Up – put your baby in for a few nights and when you are ready unzip one wing and let them sleep for a few nights with one arm released. The final step is to remove the second wing so your baby is now sleeping arms free in a snug sleeping bag!
It is recommended to start the transition during babies day sleeps, and even waiting till your little one is asleep before removing the wings in the early days. I can’t tell you how much easier these would have made the transition for us, especially for my last baby who loved her arms up so much she slept like it for a long time.
Swaddle Up 50/50 is available in Original and Lite fabric in Medium, Large and Extra Large sizes, and two colour ways. RRP $49.95. You can shop the Love To Dream entire range online. To keep up to date they also have a Facebook Page and an Instagram Page.
