Minski Co Breastfeeding Cover – Review + Giveaway

September 16, 2015

I worked out the other day I have been feeding children for 19.5 years. I have breastfed all of them for a period of time, some more than others for various reasons. At 13 months number five is still going strong. I have used numerous breastfeeding covers in the past. All of them were heavy, plain looking and my babies would spend more time kicking it off than feeding.

Minski Co is the creation of mothers Kate and Tina. With a mission to ban the unflattering tablecloth prints and make new mums express their style and still feel sexy while doing it, Minski Co aim to make mums express their inner style.

Minski Co Covers are Australian made, can be used as a breastfeeding cover, pram cover and sling cover due to their generous sizing and are easily cleaned by hand washing. The designer fabrics feature a brass buckle neck strap that can be adjusted with ease, and the lightweight breathable fabrics used to create are soft, comfortable and look amazing.

I was sent the Minski Co Zanzu Cover to test out on my youngest child. She breastfeeds constantly, and when I am out and about there are times when I want privacy for both her and myself. Here are my findings:

It looks and feels great
The fabric is stunning. It’s soft, lightweight and doesn’t leave you feeling like you have a second layer of clothing on. This is an asset all the time, but particularly in the hot weather when you don’t want to hide away feeding.

It’s easy to use
Pop it over your neck, adjust if required. No fumbling around while trying to calm a hungry baby. The cover allows little ones whole body to be covered or just their head.

It’s compact
The make of this cover means it folds into a very small size. You can pop it in your handbag, the side pocket of your baby bag or in your back pocket. When lugging around baby’s needs this is a big bonus.

My baby likes it
As I mentioned, Ella fights tooth and nail when I have tried to use a cover in the past. she liked this – she could see through the fabric so didn’t feel like she was in the dark, she liked the texture and kept still while feeding instead of turning it into a battle.

The price is good
The prices of the 4 covers currently available are between $49.95 and $59.95.
