Having two little stationary addicts in the family I always love hearing about new brands and products. When I first heard of Yoobi recently, it wasn’t just their great range that appealed – it was what Yoobi does every time someone purchases one of their products.
Yoobi means “one for you, one for me.” For every Yoobi item you purchase, a Yoobi school item will be donated to a classroom in need, right here in Australia. Yoobi was created to make colorful, vibrant tools to spark learning and creativity. Not only did Yoobi want to perk up the school supply aisle, they wanted to help solve a very big problem along the way. After a successful launch in the United States, Yoobi is now available right here in Australia.
One in ten Australian kids grow up in financially disadvantaged families, lacking the basic supplies for school – including pencils, paper and other stationery essentials. Yoobi aims to level the playing field and give every Australian child a fair go. Yoobi believe that it should be a right, not a privilege, for all children to have creative and colourful tools for learning. Something I feel very strongly about as a mother too.
So how does it work? For every Yoobi item you buy, a Yoobi item is contributed to a Yoobi Classroom Pack. Once the classroom pack is filled , Yoobi work with The Smith Family to distribute it to an Australian classroom.
Yoobi Classroom Packs contain the most fundamental tools needed for learning and creativity. They created special Yoobi products designed specifically for K-3rd grade students.
Each Yoobi Classroom Pack contains the following items, specially packed in a Yoobi gift box: 90 3-packs of HB pencils, 60 glue sticks, 30 erasers, 30 pencil sharpeners, 30 rulers, 30 folders, 30 glue bottles, 30 pencil cases, 30 5-packs of crayons, 30 5-pack of colored pencils, 30 5-packs of markers, 5 scissors (for the class to share) Plus Yoobi stickers!
I have a big prize pack of Yoobi products to give away! The prize is valued at over $60 and includes:
